In a tacit admission that Brooklyn has become hopelessly overrun by hipsters, a Jewish Orthodox school in Borough Park recently banned the wearing of "thick plastic eyeglasses" among its student body. No word on whether skinny jeans or lumberjack shirts are next.

Having a teacher who's also a bikini model might be every teen boy's fantasy, but this got a high school English teacher in Florida fired recently.

As of now the Garden State requires that those between the ages of 6 and 16 attend school regularly, but a new bill being discussed in the state’s senate seeks to raise the mandatory age of high school attendance to 18.
