Laramie’s Cowboy Saloon will swap swing dancing for a mosh pit on Thursday, Oct. 16 when legendary American punk rock band Guttermouth pay the Gem City a visit. Guttermouth will be joined by openers In the Whale, a high-energy Denver two-piece rock band; Against the Grain, a Detroit speed rock ensemble; and Laramie’s own Poor Me.

Guttermouth has been a staple of the punk rock scene since 1988. The band has recorded 10 full-length albums and toured with NOFX, Rancid, Pennywise, The Vandals, AFI, Agent Orange and Bad Religion. Guttermouth has also been a mainstay on several Vans Warped Tours. The band’s hit singles include “I’m Destroying the World,” as featured on Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 soundtrack, and “She’s Got the Look.” Guttermouth is currently working on a full-length studio album and tours much of the year.

In The Whale has delivered no-nonsense, in-your-face rock since it formed in 2011. In 2012, the band sold out Denver’s Hi-Dive, a 300-capacity venue and a hot spot for up-and-coming bands, with the release show for it’s EP “Cake.”Since then, the band’s two members have stayed busy exploring the seedier side of Denver’s music scene, and their sound has been described as Eagles of Death Metal meets The White Stripes.

Against the Grain is a 4-piece band out of The Motor City. They are a speed rock band that incorporates all things heavy, from punk to rock ‘n’ roll. Laramie’s own Poor Me recently released their first full length album, “Readymade”, they are upbeat, satirical hardcore pop-punk band.

Tickets are available for $15 on ticketfly.com and at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m. and show starts at 8 pm.
