It's and end-of-summer tradition, and Casper's "Riverfest" celebrates its 26th year this weekend in Casper, raising funds for the areas trails. "It's a wonderful afternoon along the river that helps raise funds for the Platte River Trails Trust to continue developing our trails in the community," says Executive Director Angela Emery.

The mission of the Platte River Trails is "to develop a river pathway while preserving the scenic, natural and historic value of the North Platte River, and to partner in the development of a network of trails that contribute to our community’s economic vitality and quality of life" according to their website. "Trails are our business, and we use Funds from 'Riverfest' to keep us going," says Emery.

Casper Rotary's Great Duck Derby is also part of the festivities, along with live music, food vendors, and of course, the regional craft beer tasting. $25.00 ahead of the festival or $30.00 the day of the event gets you a commemorative "Riverfest" cup so you can have unlimited samples of the microbrews.
