Cheyenne Man Helps Thwart a Robbery On His Wedding Night
A Cheyenne man's wedding night was made even more memorable this weekend when he helped stop a robbery at a local convenience store.
The man, who prefers to remain anonymous, and his new bride were staying at the Nagel Warren Mansion after getting married on Friday night when he made a quick run to the Kum N Go convenienice store on Lincolnway.
As he reached for a bottle of water from the cooler, two men entered while another man created a distraction, attempting to steal an item outside the store. When the clerk left to investiate, the two men inside the store ransacked the aisles, taking everything they could fit into a duffle bag.
The groom, along with another man inside the store, noticed the plot and quickly reacted, blocking the thieves from exiting the store and holding them until the police arrived.
Years from now, there's no guarantee that he'll remember his anniversary, but one good samaritan will never forget the night he helped thwart a robbery on his wedding night.
