Who’s The Best Living Musician Or Band? – Question Of The Day

The other day, I was sitting around with some buddies, enjoying an adult cocktail, and discussing the best living musicians. After some yelling, some tears, a lot of blood, and a visit to the police station, we concluded that it's better to leave this topic alone. Obviously, I decided to re-hash it online...

Is it possible to put one act above the rest? After looking through today's answers, I am going to say no. There are some surprising answers, and some people didn't quite read the question through (FYI, Johnny Cash died September 12th, 2003 at the age of 71. Elvis, on the other hand, is alive and well in Mobile Alabama working as a convenience store clerk...)
