With the announcement of Lynyrd Skynyrd celebrating their 40th anniversary in Sturgis, it was assumed the bar had already been set, and every other band announcement from here on out would fall short...that is, until this little tid-bit of info was released...

Lynyrd Skynyrd is celebrating 40 years of rock awesomeness this year at the perfect venue - The Buffalo Chip in Sturgis. If you've never been to the best bike rally in the world, then this is definitely the year to don your chaps and join the hundreds of thousands that roll through South Dakota each year...

Wyoming law enforcement investigated fewer crashes and made fewer traffic stops in the northern part of the state during this year's Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

State troopers from Wyoming and South Dakota have been stepping up patrols on Interstate 90 between Sturgis, S.D. and Sundance in response to the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

If you can't make it to the Sturgis Bike Rally or you can't leave until next week, take a stroll downtown Friday night or Saturday after work and listen to some great music, have a burger and drink a cool beverage and enjoy some of the fun that is in in store...

Anyone who goes to Sturgis knows that THE place that you HAVE to go is the Full Throttle Saloon. Heck, they even made a TV show about it. So naturally, this was the first place that Tee Roy went. And boy, was that a good decision. (Mostly) naked ladies, biker dudes, zip lines(courtesy of Jungle Quest), and drunk people...

One of the best things about Sturgis is the fact that the rally isn't just confined to, well, Sturgis. These bikers are everywhere!! Sturgis, Lead, Rapid City, and especially Deadwood. We stopped there for the day with a list of things we wanted to accomplish:

Back in 1820, gold miners in South Dakota, after a long hot day of, um, mining gold, needed a break. So, they invented Sturgis to get drunk, get laid, wear chaps, ride Harley's, and get into fist fights!

Sturgis is here! Well, not here. Cause you're there. But we're here. And by here, I mean Sturgis, SD. Tee Roy is bringing his unique brand of..."dj-ness" to the place where he fits in most.
