McGruff The Crime Dog Actor Is Going To Jail [VIDEO]

John R. Morales is a name you probably won't recognize. The 41 year old actor at one time portrayed McGruff the Crime Dog.

Unfortunately crime has taken a bite of Morales. He was involved in a traffic stop in 2011 that lead to a 16 year sentence on pot and weapons charges. A police dog assisted cops who allegedly found pot seeds in the vehicle and schematics for a weed-growing operation on his passenger seat.

According to the report, a subsequent police search of his home allegedly turned up one thousand pot plants and a veritable "arsenal," including a grenade launcher. Morales, who was arrested in 2011, pleaded guilty and was sentenced Monday.
