Covering part of a logo/title is a pretty common trick in print publishing to make an image more dimensional and dynamic, but it doesn’t always have the intended result.

All evidence of this big ‘oops’ by Where Magazine, Orange County’s global tourism publication, has already been pulled from the shelves, but thankfully the image is alive and well on the internet for us to laugh at. We like to imagine that this was secretly intentional, after the art director was viciously dumped by the cover model, but we like to imagine all sorts of things. We might be projecting a little, too. Rough weekend.

Bet the folks over at the magazine’s office in Milan are regretting not replying all to that email earlier this year, and sharing the news with their American partners.
