Yesterday, I was getting my sports fix watching ESPN, when a commercial came on. Some chubby dude was putting on a wife-beater that sucks in the gut, and makes it look like you have a six-pack going on. Basically, an updated girdle.

As a dude who works out 6 days a week (well, six days-ish), this really ticked me off. It may be irrational, but I don't think it's fair that people can cheat. While I've always been a big advocate of "you're only fat if you think so", and "don't let other people's opinion's shape your view of yourself", I'm also a big fan of "if you're fat, put down the ham sandwich and take a stroll". You want a great body? Well, like anything else worth while, you have to work at it. And continue working at it. Like, for the rest of your life. If you want to pay some doctor to do it for you, you're only putting a band-aid on something that needs a tampon. Same goes for 'form tightening' clothing.

We all hear about these "miracle" diets, or surgeries, or whatever is out there to take people's money and give them a false sense of hope, but it all comes down to how bad you want it.

With that little rant out of the way, I want to know what you think is the best way to lose weight. Not the easiest, but the best. Personally, paying attention to what you eat and getting off your butt is my answer...what says you?
