I am currently working on updating and renovating my house. What started out as "fixing a few minor things" has now become "build a new house". It's amazing how little things keep adding up, and take a lot more work than originally expected. If I could afford it, I would gladly pay someone else to just get it all done, but contractors are proud of their services, so I've become a jack of all trades.

With all of the work I'm putting into my pad, I've spent countless hours this summer in different lumber yards and home improvement stores. A couple things have gotten my attention:

One place that says they'll beat everybody's else prices will instead call you a liar when you mention that it's cheaper somewhere else.

Most of those "professionals" (teenagers, retirees, part time employees) that are there to help you actually know less about your project than you do.

Nothing in these stores is anywhere near the other stuff you need.

It will take at least 10 trips for any given project.

If there are 100 perfect 2x4's and one twisted/knotted one, you will buy the twisted/knotted one.

There is no such thing as "easy directions".

With all of that being said, I'd like to know which Casper store is the best place to grab everything you need, has good customer service, and is easy to traverse. Check out the options below, then vote. If you're store isn't an option, add it. We'll post the winning hardware store tomorrow morning.
