What Business Would You Like To Start? – Question Of The Day

As we spend the majority of our lives working for 'The Man", we eventually start to ponder working for ourselves. Most people consider it, but very few actually attempt it. As an ex-business owner, I can tell you that just starting up is quite a daunting task. By the time you've dealt with a bank, the IRS, the state sales tax people, a CPA (trust me, pay someone to handle your books), and the possible vendors you will need to deal with, you're about done with all of your pre-conceived notions that owning your own business will be "fun". Just the fact that employees steal, friends and family only pay lip-service when it comes to help, and you NEVER get a day off...well, most business' fail before they've ever even started.

Now, don't let me be a kink in your cog. I say kudos to anyone attempting their own business venture. I just say do your homework first, and get EVERYTHING in writing.
