
Tornado, Tennis Ball-Sized Hail Confirmed Near Kaycee
A tornado warning remains in effect until 6:30 p.m. for central Johnson County following a tornado sighting near Kaycee.
Just before 6 p.m., a likely tornado was located 12 miles west of Fort Reno Historical Site, which is 12 miles northeast of Kaycee, moving north at 30 mph.
A tornado was earlier confirmed just west of Kaycee.
Tennis ball-sized hail poses a hazard, and has been confirmed by weather spotters, according to the National Weather Service.
The warning includes I-25 between mile markers 254 and 286.
People are urged to take cover immediately. Flying debris is dangerous to anyone without shelter.
