The Flaming Lips, Miley Cyrus + Moby Cover ‘Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds’
As most are aware of by now, the Flaming Lips are coming out with a psychedelic Beatles covers album aptly titled 'With a Little Help From My Fwends,' due out Oct. 28. Today (Oct. 13), you can listen to their cover of 'Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds' featuring Miley Cyrus and Moby; it's one of the first singles they've streamed via their PledgeMusic campaign. Listen to it here.
The record will also feature collaborations with My Morning Jacket, J Mascis, Grace Potter and more. When fans pre-order the album, they will also get an exclusive 'Making Of' video, where they'll be able to see how it all went down.
Some proceeds from the album's sales will go to the Bella Foundation, an organization that provides assistance for veterinary care to low income, elderly or terminally ill pet owners; Bella Foundation is located in the band's hometown of Oklahoma City.
You can compare the studio track with Moby to the recent performance from this year's Billboard Music Awards, featuring frontman Wayne Coyne and Cyrus:
