Sweet Dreams Are Made of These- What Your Dreams Really Mean

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. In fact, chances are, you dream too. I've never been much into dream interpretations, but I had the WEIRDEST dream I've ever had last night, and so I just HAD to look it up. So I thought I would share my dream with you, my children, and henceforth offer you different interpretations of what different dreams mean.

So, last night/early this morning I had a dream in which I was in some sort of basement/warehouse type thing. Luckily, I wasn't dreaming that I was in Saw Part 25. No, it was a little weirder. I went up to a young woman who was behind what looked to be a Casino-like glass barricade, and asked her what this was. She said that I was "not in hell, but purgatory." Well, that sucks. So that's what I looked up first.

According to an Online Dream Dictionary, "To dream that you are in purgatory signifies confusion, troubles, scandal, and worries. You may not be seeing things the way they really are or you may have lost your sense of direction in life." Well, F*ck. I didn't think I was directionless, but who knows.

So I'm walkin' around purgatory, evidently contemplating my life's direction, when I see a bunch of people um, well, banging each other. Evidently, Purgatory consists of one huge orgy. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but still, interesting. Granted, most men, including myself, think about sex every 7 seconds, but I never pegged myself as an orgy-goer. So, to the internet I went.

The same webpage that told me I'm directionless, also told me that "This dream is a warning that you are going to extremes to your behavior - either by being totally out of control, or by completely repressing your true desires. Whichever is true of you, this dream suggests that you need to change your ways, or you could find yourself in trouble. Moderation is the key to contentment." So, judging by that interpretation, I'm either a prude or a slut. Probably the latter.

A different interpretation, which was a lot less judgmental, said that "To see an orgy in your dream, signifies repressed desires of your own sexuality and passion. It may also mean that there is some sort of confusion in where you distribute your energies. You may be going in many directions and as a result, you are spread too thin." Definitely don't repress my sexuality, so I'm leaning towards the 2nd half.

This actually makes sense then, and it's kind of creepy. Both significant parts of my dream insinuate that I'm going in different directions. It looks as if I may need to do some soul searching...that, or have a lot more sex.
