Snow, Rain, Fog to Hamper Travel Across Wyoming Through Tuesday [VIDEO]

A fall storm moving through Wyoming through Tuesday morning is expected to impact travel statewide.

K2 Radio Meteorologist Don Day of DayWeather says rain and snow will make roads slick across the state, particularly in southeastern Wyoming, while snow and fog will likely hamper travel over Wyoming's mountain passes.

Wet roads are expected statewide, and hunters are cautioned to be prepared.

The segment of Interstate 80 from near Elk Mountain through Laramie to just west of Cheyenne is forecast to see the highest travel impact. I-80 should see moderate impact from the storm.

Interstate 25 from Cheyenne to the Colorado border will be wet to slick, Day says, and weather impact on I-25 is also expected to be moderate. Those conditions will also be present on I-80 from Evanston through Rawlins due to rain and some fog.

Interstate 90 will also see wet conditions, though some slick spots could develop Monday night as temperatures drop to near or below freezing in the area. Impact to travel on I-90 is expected to be low.

Day says travel could be hazardous over South Pass, Powder River Pass, Beartooth Pass, Togwotee Pass, Teton Pass, Snowy Range Pass and Battle Mountain Pass.

Highway 230 through Woods Landing could also be treacherous.
