Seattle recently become the latest city to put a ban on plastic drinking straws, as well as other plastic eating utensils. This is becoming a major issue in America, which raises the question, should Casper follow suit?

According to a recent article by CNN, Greenpeace has stated that 40% of plastics in the ocean are from single-use plastics. The article also stated that Seattle violators will be subject to a $250 fine.

So far, other cities to establish disposable plastic straw bans include Miami Beach (Florida), Monmouth Beach (New Jersey), New York City and several municipalities in California.
