There's a new ranking of the best lake towns in America and one is an easy day trip from Casper.

Thrillist just named the top 23 destinations if you love lakes. Most of them would require that you burn some vacation time with the exception of one. Grand Lake, Colorado made this new top 23 list and it's an easy weekend day trip less than 5 hours away.

I have to admit that I've gone by Grand Lake maybe a million times including the last time I took the family through Rocky Mountain National Park via Trail Ridge Road.

Thrillist called out Grand Lake not just for the fun things you can do nearby or on the water, but also the saloons. Curious call, dudes.

If nothing else, this is a decent weekend option you can take advantage of as the temps warm up this spring and summer.
