NWS: Wind Chills as Low as -30F Expected for Casper Overnight
Another bitterly cold night is in store for Casper, with the National Weather Service warning of wind chills between -15F and -30F through Sunday morning.
According to a wind chill advisory posted Saturday by the NWS, frostbite could occur in as little as 30 minutes on exposed skin. Hypothermia is also possible if no precautions are taken.
The advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. Sunday. It includes Casper Mountain, the City of Casper and lower elevations of Natrona County.
Much of northern and eastern Wyoming also remained under wind chill advisories Saturday night, while portions of southeastern Wyoming were under a winter storm warning or winter weather advisory.
