Casper is expected to experience wind chills of up to -20F Friday night into Saturday morning as an arctic front causes temperatures to plummet.

A wind chill advisory issued Friday by the National Weather Service will be in effect from 10 p.m. Friday to 11 a.m. Saturday. The advisory includes lower elevations of Natrona County.

The weather service says north to northeast winds are expected to gust up to 25 mph by Saturday morning.

Such wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes, according to the advisory. Frostbite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken.
