NWS: 2-4 Inches of Snow for Casper Today
Casper could see up to four inches of snow accumulation as a fall storm system moves east across Wyoming on Sunday.
The heaviest snowfall was predicted to occur in the morning. A winter weather advisory for Natrona County was set to expire at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Casper Mountain could receive five to 10 inches of snow accumulation, with winds gusting 35-45 mph creating areas of blowing snow. Roads on the mountain were expected to become slippery and snow-packed.
In the lower elevations, road conditions were expected to vary from wet to snow-covered and slick. Drivers are urged to use caution and be prepared for changing road conditions.
Visibility was expected to be reduced to roughly one-tenth of a mile with the storm.
Further south, parts of I-80 and adjacent highways were closed due to winter conditions.
