No Rock Concert At Cheyenne Frontier Days This Year
For the first time in over a decade, Cheyenne Frontier Days will not feature a rock concert this summer.
The 2017 Frontier Nights Concert Series was just finalized today with the addition of pop acts Jason Derulo and Flo Rida, who will perform on Friday, July 28th.
Many legendary rock bands have played CFD in recent years, including Aerosmith, John Mellencamp, Journey, Styx, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, the Steve Miller Band and ZZ Top.
Last year, KISS drew over 10,000 fans in spite of a rain storm that turned the "party zone" into a muddy mess. It was the second time that KISS had played CFD.
Sadly, it may be the last rock concert we'll ever see at Frontier Days, as aging acts scale down their touring schedules and promoters attempt to lure younger audiences.
