Winter in our state is one of the best times of the year. Each winter we flock to the ski hills and gracefully slide down them. It is fun to do as well as fun to watch. Skiing and snowboarding would not be as popular as it is today, if it wasn't for one man. A pioneer of the snow-sports film, Mr. Warren Miller.

Odds are you have seen some of his movies, featuring some of our best ski hills in the state. Since 1950, Warren Miller has directed over 55 feature length movies documenting ski destinations around the world.

Sadly Warren Miller passed away at his home in Orcas Island, Washington. He was 93 years old.

The following is a compilation of some of the best wrecks captured by Warren over the last half century.
