The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a High Wind Warning for Natrona County until midnight tonight. NWS meteorologists say strong winds aloft and a strong pressure gradient will result in high winds across southeast Fremont into Natrona County today through Tuesday evening, with the most widespread high winds occurring during the day Tuesday. Winds are expected to diminish Wednesday morning as the cold front pulls across the area.

Expect southwest winds 25 to 40 m.p.h., with gusts 50 to 60 m.p.h. and higher along Outher Drive on Casper's south side. A wind gust of 49 m.p.h. was recorded around 12:40 Tuesday morning.

Meteorologists warn that dangerous cross winds may cause a blow over risk along
area highways including Outer Drive, and high profile vehicles are especially at risk for a blow over.
