Finders keepers, losers weepers is how the adage goes.

But not so much.

A teen in Madison County, Ga., has been sentenced to 10 years of probation and is being forced to pay back $30,000 after a bank teller mistakenly deposited the money of a man sharing the teen-ager's name, Steven Fields, into his account, Atlanta's WGCL-TV CBS 46 reported.

The younger Steven Fields, after noticing his new-found wealth, immediately went out and bought a new BMW and a bunch of other stuff.

When the bank noticed its error, they returned the money to the older Steven Fields, and went after the younger one.

Younger Steven Fields must pay the money back.

In addition, the teller responsible for the mistake was forced to retire.
