The time has finally come to address the extended absence of Eric Zane.

Zane walked in while Hot Wings and Free Beer were going at it and started to record the fight. Apparently, Free Beer attacked Hot Wings for something he had said and Hot Wings had heard enough!

Each Thursday on the show, we play Dumber Than Zane Trivia for a $500 cash prize. Due to some instances of cheating in the past, we now require that all of our contestants be blindfolded and use GoToMeeting so we can watch them play and ensure that they are not cheating. Plus, it gives us a chance to see what the person taking on Zane (or in this case, Hot Wings) in a battle of wits actually looks

As if living in southern Illinois isn't bad enough already, this family in Buncumb, Ill. has been having a bit of a critter issue lately. It's not a skunk, mouse, snake or any other "normal" infestation. It's vultures. Yes, vultures - the devil birds that primarily eat dead stuff.

On the show this morning, we talked to Kyle (formerly known as Wiener 2 when he was an intern) about his interning experience. We reminisced about the time that he and Wiener 1 had to compete in the Wiener Challenge, in which Producer Joe threw hot dogs and baked beans at them off of a parking garage. To top it off, the dogs were dipped in a ketchup/mustard/relish slop sauce.  Why did we do this?

While the Free Beer & Hot Wings Show is live in Portland this morning with Rock 106.3, Free Beer and Amanda are resting comfortably in the hospital back home with two brand new, healthy baby boys! Yes, the twins are here!!  Oliver Jakub (left) and Hayden Joseph (right) were born yesterday afternoon, weighing in at 7.9 pounds and 6.13 pounds respectively.

Free Beer & Hot Wings were joined in the studio by actor and comedian Tim Meadows Friday morning. Tim spent 10 years on 'Saturday Night Live' and is now on the NBC sitcom 'Marry Me'. He has some shows this weekend at Dr. Grins Comedy Club in Grand Rapids, so he decided to stop by for a visit. .

So... none of us have been on the dating scene in a while, so maybe we don't get the nuances of online dating. But, we're pretty sure that our former intern is doing it wrong. On the show today, while talking about an Alaska Airlines employee that was trapped in the cargo compartment of a plane, Producer Joe had a perfectly placed Cheech and Chong reference when he dropped the line "Dave's not here." The line was delivered right as Zane took a big gulp of coffee, resulting in a coffee spit-take that landed right on Zane's sound effects machine.
