If you've ever watched a marathon, you may have thought to yourself: "They're not really running that fast. I could do that!"

Well, we are here to tell you that they are and you couldn't.

A Swedish reporter covering the Stockholm Marathon last week decided to see how long she could keep up with the marathon leaders around the 1-hour, 46-minute mark.

So, with her microphone in hand, she took to the 26-mile, 385-yard course. It took about 3 seconds for the leaders of the race -- Kenya's Benjamin Bitok and Nixon Machichin -- to overtake her and leave her in the dust.

It really puts into perspective how fast these guys are.
