The new trailer for 'Muppets Most Wanted' is out and we're once again looking forward to seeing the stars of 'The Muppet Show' on the big screen. Its predecessor, 'The Muppets,' brought back not only Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, and the rest, but also a few lesser known Muppets like the lovable blue giant Thog and the perpetually unlucky singing duo Wayne and Wanda.

We expect we'll see some more long lost Muppets when the new movie premieres in March of next year, but there are some who are too forgotten, too obscure, or just too weird to be considered for cameos. Here are a few Muppets who probably won't show up in 'Muppets Most Wanted,' though we'll be pleasantly surprised if they do.

    Emily "Ma" Bear

    Muppet Wiki

Fozzie Bear's mother has made several movie and television appearances, most notably in 'A Muppet Family Christmas' in which her vacation plans are derailed by Fozzie returning home for the holidays with just about every Muppet in existence in tow. It wouldn't be unthinkable for her to have a cameo in the new film, but with all the international intrigue going on, who has time to go visit the folks?

    Angus McGonagle

Angus McGonagle was slated to be a guest on 'The Muppet Show,' but was bumped from the lineup when the cast of 'Star Wars' unexpectedly showed up. Undeterred, the Argyle Gargoyle took advantage of a lull between performances and began gargling the Gershwin tune 'Summertime' accompanied by Mark Hamill. He made a second appearance in the episode's finale, but hasn't had a speaking (or gargling) role since.

    Amy Mebberson

The fate of Scooter's athletic twin sister from 'Muppet Babies' is the subject of much fan speculation. She did reappear in the BOOM! Studios 'Muppet Show' comic book and photo puppets of her were used in a couple of children's books. But since she's never been a real puppet, we doubt she'll be showing up in 'Muppets Most Wanted.'

    Miss Mousey

Miss Mousey made regular appearances in the first two seasons of 'The Muppet Show' and was sometimes portrayed as Miss Piggy's rival for Kermit's affections. She hasn't been seen much since then and some of the test footage for 'The Muppet Movie' suggests that Piggy's jealousy took a turn for the violent.

    Gil, Bill and Jill

These three Madison Avenue businessfrogs had their big moment as coworkers of an amnesiac Kermit in 'The Muppets Take Manhattan.' They've occasionally shown up as background characters since, but unless the script calls for advertising executives, we don't foresee a comeback.

    Seven-Foot-Tall Talking Carrot

The seven-foot-tall talking carrot is exactly what he sounds like, a character born of Kermit misunderstanding Gilda Radner's desire to perform a Gilbert and Sullivan parody called "The Parrots of Penzance." Despite the obvious fact that most movies, television shows and semi-formal events could be greatly enhanced by the presence of a seven-foot-tall talking carrot, he has not been seen since his debut.

    Mildred Huxtetter

    Muppet Wiki

This highly educated aristocrat appeared in two pre-'Muppet Show' specials and throughout the first three seasons of 'The Muppet Show,' most frequently in the "At The Dance" segments. However, she hasn't had a speaking role in years. She could pop up in the background of the new movie, but she could just as well be bumped in favor of a more recognizable character.

    George the Janitor

    Muppet Wiki

Cranky old George served as the Muppet Theater's janitor through the first season of 'The Muppet Show.' Like his frequent dance partner Mildred, he had also appeared in the two 'Muppet Show' pilots. Later seasons replaced George with new janitor Beauregard, making George's return in 'Muppets Most Wanted' unlikely.

    Timmy Monster

    Muppet Wiki

This big blue behemoth, seen here eating an unfortunate Phoob, is a full bodied Muppet who appeared on 'The Muppet Show' through all five seasons. Timmy was never a prominent character and was frequently overshadowed by other large monsters like Sweetums and Thog. He is the only full-bodied Muppet not seen in the recreation of 'The Muppet Show's' opening in 'The Muppets.'

    Bean Bunny

    Muppet Wiki

Poor, neglected Bean Bunny. Sure he's not a 'Muppet Show' character, but neither is Pepe the King Prawn and that didn't stop him from getting a cameo in 'The Muppets.' Bean was once an up-and-coming Muppet star, but in recent years, he's been routinely passed over for everything from film and television roles to his own action figure. Beanophiles can drown their sorrows at the Disney Parks attraction Muppet*Vision 3D, where Bean enjoys a starring role.
