I don't know what the big deal is...seems to me this is how those "grade school romances" get started

(seattletimes) Sheriff's deputies had to be called to help restrain a substitute teacher at a Puyallup elementary school.

Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer says deputies went to Pope Elementary School Thursday after the teacher was reported to be swearing and screaming at students in the sixth-grade class.

Troyer says the 46-year-old teacher also appeared to be passing out at her desk. He says no children were hurt and no arrests have been made.

The News Tribune says the teacher has been suspended pending an investigation.

Troyer says the teacher told deputies she had taken medication the night before and had consumed a couple of glasses of wine before coming to school. Troyer says a container of alcohol was found in her purse.
