David Letterman's finale on CBS' Late Show was ratings gold for the Network.

Last Wednesday's broadcast of the Late Show, which as Letterman's swan song after 33 years on the late-night TV show, averaged almost 14 (13.76) million viewers.

That was the largest audience for Late Night dating back to February 1994, when an episode of Late Night followed CBS' Winter Olympics.

James Corden, the host for The Late Late Show also benefited from Letterman's strong finish with an average of 4 million viewers. That's the largest audience for that show regardless of the host.

Late Night will seem empty without Dave, however Stephen Colbert gets his chance starting in September.
