Cop Accidentally Shoots Himself In the Stomach In Elevator [Video]

A Kentucky police officer is recovering after accidentally shooting himself in the stomach while in an elevator with his wife.

On Saturday, the officer was coming home from dinner with his wife. After getting on an elevator, he attempted to adjust his gun in its holster. He somehow, instead, managed to pull the trigger, discharging the gun. The bullet ricocheted off the wall of the elevator and struck him in the stomach.

The officer is recovering and is expected to be OK, as his injuries are described as non-life threatening, Lexington 18 reported.
