Cheyenne Man Charged After Police Match His DNA to PB&J
A Cheyenne man has been charged with three counts of burglary after police matched his DNA to a partially eaten peanut butter and jelly sandwich left at the scene of the crime.
Twenty-five-year-old Zachary Munoz made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court this (Wednesday) morning.
According to court documents, Munoz broke into 4 Rivers Equipment on three separate occasions in early September and stole thousands of dollars worth of Stihl power tools, including concrete saws, chainsaws and a backpack blower.
Munoz is being held in the Laramie County Detention Center on $5,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for December 1.
Munoz is facing up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
