Yesterday, I picked your brain for the one thing that Casper needs, and 33% of the votes went to Water Park. I concur, but let me throw a kink in your cog...would it make any money?

Follow me on this, I'm just playing devil's advocate:

We are smack-dab in the middle of a state that has less than half-a-million people

Unless it's indoors, it would only be open for 3 months a year - tops.

While kind of dingy, Thermopolis is only about 2 hours away, and Water World in Denver is only about 3.5 hours away.

While small, and only consisting of two little slides, we do have the Aquatics Center already.

Now that I got all of my Negative-Nancy thoughts out of the way, let me throw this at you...How about some sort of family oriented super-center? You could have a water park, pizzeria, putt-putt course, bowling alley, arcade, laser tag, paintball course, roller rink, go-karts, etc...all built into one indoor location. Open year round, this would draw visitors from all over the state, as well as make money off of our tourists. After sifting through all of the answers, there were calls for some sort of family oriented business to keep kids out of trouble, and give family's something to do together. I think it's an awesome idea, and now all we have to do is find somebody with a butt-load of money willing to build it!
