When I first moved here from Denver, it was a huge culture shock. You see, I have lived in major cities my entire life, and Casper was the smallest town that I ever called home. People you didn't know talking to you, lack of crime, everybody knowing everybody...these are things that are not normal in large cities. They are also part of the reason I decided to raise my family here.

For people who have never lived in a metropolis, these things are taken for granted. While I've gotten around (take it as you will), most Casperites have never lived anywhere else, and they have this vision of big cities being the greatest places on Earth. One of those "grass is greener on the other side" type of things. Sure, bigger cities offer more types of entertainment, but they also offer more crime, higher costs of living, and two hour commutes - not to mention gangs, slums, and armies of bums.

So, while I understand the whole "Casper Sucks" concept, I totally, 100% disagree. We're centrally located, 280 miles from Denver, have no state income tax, have a mountain 15 minutes away, 2 lakes 30 minutes away, some of the best hunting and fishing around, can legally carry concealed weapons without a permit, and it only takes 10-15 minutes to get anywhere.

But, I will concede that we need a couple things. What are those things? Here's your chance to sound off. Below is a list of 5 things I came up with off the top of my head. If you can think of something else, add it! We'll post the winning "missing-link" tomorrow...
