Long before she gained fame at Princess Leia in Star Wars, Carrie Fisher was part of an infamous Hollywood scandal that would eventually bring her to Wyoming on several occasions.

When she was only two years old, her father, actor Eddie Fisher, left her mother Debbie Reynolds and married Elizabeth Taylor.

While her mother remained in Beverly Hills, her father eventually parted ways with Taylor and married actress Connie Stevens. The couple had two children, Carrie's half sisters Joely and Tricia Leigh Fisher.

Like his relationship with Debbie Reynolds and Elizabeth Taylor, Eddie Fisher's romance with Connie Stevens was short-lived.

After leaving Fisher, Stevens and her two children maintained a vacation home near Jackson, Wyoming, where she hosted a celebrity skiing event for many years.

In addition to her half-sisters, Carrie Fisher had another Wyoming connection, her Star Wars co-star Harrison Ford, who also lived near Jackson.

While visiting Wyoming, Fisher would often catch up with her longtime friend and former colleague. In 2000, Ford and his family joined Fisher and her family for a rafting trip on the Snake River.
