Meet the Brainiac Who Ran Into His Burning House to Save His Beer [VIDEO]

This guy was fired up to drink.

After his house caught on fire, a man in Columbus, Georgia came up with the brilliant idea to run back inside to grab his beer.

As if that’s not ludicrous enough, Walter Serpit walks with a cane, so you know mobility is an issue.

Serpit was quite candid in explaining his hard-to-believe actions:

I told them to get the kids out and everything, and me myself, being an alcoholic, I was trying to get my beer out. I went back into the house like a dummy and the door shut on me because this back draft was about to kill me."

Fortunately, Serpit slipped back out of the house without any burns. And, yes, he had several cans of beer with him because there's nothing like watching a blazing hot fire by knocking back a few cold ones.
