This is another one of those study results that make all your memories make sense – like when your high school buddies would run into walls, or smack each other with baseball bats…even when they weren’t drunk.  Remember when everyone was telling you in high school and college that drinking alcohol was killing brain cells? Well, they might have been right.

According to All Head Line News:

University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill researchers said that human adolescence, which happens between ages 12 and 20, is a critical time for brain development.  And adolescence is also a time when the brain’s neural circuits are more sensitive to disruption. When given the same amount of alcohol, teens’ frontal cortexes are much more sensitive to damage than adult brains.

Basically, when you start drinking young, you get dumb.  And moving on....
