Arcade Fire have been pulling out surprise cover songs at nearly every stop on their current tour. At their show in Houston the other night, they took it to another level when they covered Blondie's 1978 classic song 'Heart of Glass.'

Regine Chassagne took over lead vocals on the Blondie song, which they merged with their own 'Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)' from 'The Suburbs.' You can watch video of the performance above.

And while the band does its best to get into the song's soulful groove, they fall a bit short in the end. Still, we give them points for effort. And it's always a thrill to hear the excellent 'Heart of Glass.'

Arcade Fire are taking a break from their tour to play Coachella this weekend and next. They'll then wrap up their U.S. dates before heading to Europe and then back again for another North American leg. Check out Arcade Fire's website to see a complete list of dates.
