What Hobby Do You Have That You Wish Could Be Your Career? – Question Of The Day

Very few people are fortunate enough to have a job that they truly enjoy. Most of us work to live...nothing more, nothing less. Some people are working jobs that pay a lot in money, but not in satisfaction. Some people use jobs as a filler until they can find something better. Some people don't work, period.

As for myself, I have a killer job that pays decently. At one point in the past, I had to make a decision. Be rich and overworked, or be poor and happy. Trust me, happiness wins out every time.

I have a buddy that builds guitars in his home shop. While he's not making a ton of cash, he really enjoys it. I asked him if he ever thought about giving up his day job to pursue his love. He said "absolutely, except my wife likes having the bills paid..." His end goal is to make enough off of his chosen craft to be able to support his family. Not too much to ask for, if you ask me.

What about you? What do you enjoy doing in your free time that you would like to be able to make a career out of? After looking at the responses, I can tell you that most (if not all) of the answers are things that you can actually accomplish, if you're willing to take the risk. I hope that everybody at least tries their professional hand at their amateur activities. When people are happy, the world is a better place...
