We recently had the pleasure of interviewing Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins and drummer Ed Graham. At the end of a captivating conversation with half of the British rock giants, the duo reminisced about some of their most memorable encounters with fans, which included signing a man’s rump and penning an autograph on the testicles of a stuffed family dog.

As a part of their illustrious comeback after a five-year hiatus, British rockers the Darkness have chosen to celebrate the occasion by dropping their very own dung onto the iconic Edward Munch painting ‘The Scream.’ Luckily for all of us, the fine people at Funny or Die were there to document the “artistic statement.”

With anticipation building for their first album since 2005, the Darkness have debuted the lyric video for the song ‘Every Inch of You’ from their upcoming ‘Hot Cakes’ disc (due Aug. 21). The first single and video from the album, ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us’ was released earlier this year. In addition, the full track list for ‘Hot Cakes’ has also been released.

Seven years after their last album, British rockers the Darkness will release their third studio album ‘Hot Cakes’ on Aug. 21 in the United States via Wind-up.

While the combination of Lady Gaga and Brit glam rockers the Darkness may seem like an unlikely pairing, that’s exactly what fans will get to experience on the upcoming European leg of Lady Gaga’s tour.

The Darkness’ ‘Nothin’s Gonna Stop Us’ single debuted today in the form of an animated video created by Thom Lessner and director Ted Passon. The tune marks the first new song we’ve heard from the Darkness since 2006.

As previously reported, the Darkness are returning to North America for a tour next month, the band’s first stateside outing since 2004. Frontman Justin Hawkins and his guitarist brother Dan Hawkins told Loudwire recently that the band is hard at work on a new album that is tentatively set to drop in the spring.
