Who doesn't enjoy a good ol' fashioned award show every now and again?

Green Day will continue their ‘love’ affair with MTV. The band, who’ve played the MTV Video Music Awards several times in the past and are premiering their ‘Oh, Love’ video tonight on the network, will perform at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.

The nominees for the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards have been released, and it’s time to cast your votes. Along with frontrunners Rihanna and Drake (who were nominated in a whopping five categories each), several other bands and artists received multiple nominations, including Coldplay, Gotye, fun., M.I.A., Skrillex and more.

This Sunday night (June 3), a band with a handful of gold records will salute one of a silver screen great during the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. The Black Keys, who were recently added to the performance lineup, have signed on to play ‘Gold on the Ceiling’ during a special tribute to Johnny Depp.
