Chino Moreno may be going strong with Deftones, but this summer fans will be treated to his more atmospheric and moody side as he rocks out with his friends from Isis in the new band Palms. The group's self-titled debut is due June 25 via Ipecac Recordings and the album artwork and track listing for the effort have now surfaced.

Chino Moreno has more than Deftones on his plate these days, and fans are now getting a chance to check out some music from his side group Palms. Moreno was recruited to sing on the album by three of the former members of Isis, who are also part of the group. Now the first song 'Patagonia,' from their self-titled effort has surfaced online.

Deftones frontman Chino Moreno is a man of many projects and his latest finds him recording with several former members of the band Isis in a new group called Palms. The band has confirmed the completion of their self-titled debut album and the disc is now due June 25 through Ipecac Recordings.

Deftones continue to receive plenty of acclaim for their 'Koi No Yokan' album, with the disc making many year-end Top 10 critics lists, including a No. 1 spot on Loudwire's 10 Best Rock Albums of 2012. In a new interview, Deftones frontman Chino Moreno speaks about the writing process for the band’s upcoming album ‘Koi No Yokan’ compared to various other releases and how he deals with the ailing state of his friend and bass player Chi Cheng.

The upcoming soundtrack to the film ‘The Raid: Redemption,’ includes the new song ‘Razors.Out’ featuring Linkin Park‘s Mike Shinoda (who also scored the film) and Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno.
