'Assassin's Creed'

I love video games, from the retro Nintendo games to all the new Microsoft X-box and Sony PlayStation. So when I came across this little three minute video on YouTube, I had to share. Without giving away too much, imagine if Lara Croft, Master Chief from Halo and Connor from Assassin's Creed decided to rob Mario for 3 of his main power ups.

Although you can usually write off most video game adaptations, 'Assassin's Creed' feels like it could finally break the mold. After all, an acclaimed actor like Michael Fassbender doesn't sign onto any old piece of junk -- there must be something special about this project. And it looks like it's officially scheduled to arrive in the summer of 2015.

To most people, the concept behind the Assassin’s Creed games seems unique. But the setup, in which corporations jack into ancestral memories to relive the past, sounded a bit too familiar to sci-fi author John L. Beiswenger, who says the franchise ripped off his 2003 novel, ‘Link.’
