Slash Makes Movies, Tours With Ozzy

Slash and Ozzy Hit Denver February 8th

(bravewords) Slasher Films is the horror film production company formed by Slash in partnership with Michael Williams and Rob Eric of Scout Productions. On Sunday, January 23rd, SLASH held a press conference and party at the House Of Blues Foundation Room in Park City, UT to discuss the exciting film projects heading into production this year.

Slasher Films has the advantage of having one of the most respected musicians in the world at its helm. 2010 was a landmark year for Slash, and 2011 shows no signs of him slowing down. The guitarist and songwriter released his debut solo album, the acclaimed Slash which bowed on the Billboard Top 200 chart at #3 (#1 on the Rock chart, #1 on the Independent chart, and #1 on the Hard Music chart). Digitally, the album also became the #1 overall digital album and hit #1 on iTunes in 13 countries. The 14-song disc features collaborations with vocalists OZZY OSBOURNE, IGGY POP, Ian Astbury (THE CULT), Lemmy Kilmister (MOTÖRHEAD), Chris Cornell (SOUNDGARDEN), Rocco DeLuca, Dave Grohl (FOO FIGHTERS), Myles Kennedy (ALTER BRIDGE), KID ROCK, Adam Levine of MAROON 5, Duff McKagan (Velvet Revolver, LOADED, ex-Guns N' Roses), M. Shadows of AVENGED SEVENFOLD, and Andrew Stockdale of WOLFMOTHER.

OZZY OSBOURNE and Slash recently talked about teaming up for their current US tour.

"He's one of the most charismatic frontmen I've ever seen," Slash says. "The way he commands an audience … I've never seen anybody do it the way he does. I started out listening to BLACK SABBATH when I was in my teens and then Ozzy came out with his solo thing. So he's been a mainstay in rock n' roll ever since."
