The other day, I happened upon a midget bowling alley at the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis. Needless to say, I had to do it (If you missed the video, click here...IT WAS AWESOME!). Apparently, Zac Brown had found the exact same midget, and also took part in the festivities. Upon seeing his video, Little People Of America had this to say, according to this article from TMZ:

Little people are NOT objects to be greased up and hurled down a bowling lane for the sick enjoyment of an audience!

Now, I can understand how "Little People" would be upset, but here's the issue I have with their level of disgust; this is a dude who found a way to make money off of his condition, and he is more than happy to charge ten bucks a pop for people who want to take part. What's that have to do with every other little person alive? Nothing, as far as I can tell. There's a group of white people that proudly call themselves rednecks, and they even have the "Redneck Games". Does that mean that all of us honkies are inbred and/or have a permanent fetish for guns, PBR, and chewing tobacco? No. They embrace who they are, and proudly display it.

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm a fan of midgets. True, they're nothing more than normal people scaled down, and they have a right to live a normal life just like the rest of us...but any "little person" who embraces their lot in life and is proud of it - well, they have my full respect. Sometimes, people of ALL sizes and colors need to quite worrying about everybody else's business, and just take of care of their own business. You are what you are, you might as well enjoy it...
