Height: 5’ 7”

Date Joined: Derby itself: March 13, 2009 ACRG: October 5, 2010

Position: Blocker

Favorite Target Zone: Shoulders, upper body

Likes: High contact and extreme sports, Funny movies, hanging out with friends and my family

Dislikes: Liars, Cheaters, Bad Refereeing, rap and Justin Beiber.

Injuries: I have had a torn knee, broken tailbone, broke my wrist and hand twice, concussion, torn rotator cuff and separated shoulder

Why Roller Derby? It’s a great sport and really gives girls a chance to kick a** and belong somewhere. I love how it’s like a giant family and you make the closest friends. It’s for girls who weren’t tall enough or fast enough for other sports to join and be apart of a team. We have girls of every shape and size. It’s an amazing experience.

Words of Wisdom: Be true to yourself and don’t let others tell you that you can’t do something that you love doing.

Tsunami Bomber #B52

loading...

Height: 5’4

Started Derby:January 2010

Position: Blocker

Target Zone: I don’t have a specific target zone, but I do have a goal each Jam and that’s to see some skates in the air.

Likes: Skates, Blood and Rock ‘n’ Roll

Dislikes: Going to the Penalty Box, Fox News, onions and lawn flamingoes

Injuries: Fractured tail bone in 2 places, torn Left PCL, Torn Left Miniscus, sprained left ankle

Why Derby: Why not?! It is one of the most non-discriminative sports for women. As long as you don’t have a pre-existing heart or bone condition and you’re a little fearless, pretty much anyone can play. It’s a great work out and an extremely healthy way to vent daily frustrations. The amazing sense of camaraderie  that is present throughout the sport as a whole is reason enough to play. Lastly, but not least, playing derby has unspeakably awesome effects on the self esteem; it’s the best decision I’ve ever made.
