Geezer Butler has posted the following on his website:

"I would like to make it clear, because of mounting speculation and rumors, that there will be definitely NO reunion of all four original members of Black Sabbath, whether to record an album or to tour."

That sounds pretty definite.

There may be rumors floating around on the Sabbath thing, but the speculation stems , partially, from the fact that Ozzy Osbourne has been doing a lot of press interviews while out on his current “Scream” tour, and the Sabbath reunion question comes up regularly.

One example is a recent interview with ABC News Radio, where Ozzy said the guys "are in the talking process" regarding a reunion, which would include the recording of a new studio album. Osbourne stressed, however, that nothing is definite yet, in part because of the pressure the four of them will face if they make a new record.

“The problem that we have,” said Ozzy, “is that if we do an album and it's anything less than where we left off, it's gonna be a big anticlimax."

That sounds kind of tentative.

Stay tuned… (via Hennemusic)
