Glenn Danzig has entered the studio to begin recording his long-talked-about "covers" album. Five songs have already been laid down, including as-yet-undiclosed tributes to Elvis Presley and Black Sabbath. More details will be made available soon.

Danzig will make a number of European live appearances this year, with a late spring U.S. tour also a possibility.

Danzig will release a new video and single for the song "Ju Ju Bone" from the band's latest album, "Deth Red Sabaoth". The clip was directed by Glenn Danzig and Cg wizard John Osteen of "Black Devil Doll" fame.

On November 9, 2010, Danzig released a limited-edition 12-inch vinyl version of "Deth Red Sabaoth" with a color lyric sleeve. It was limited to 2,000 copies on black vinyl and 1,000 copies on red vinyl.

The first new Danzig studio album in six years, "Deth Red Sabaoth", sold 11,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 35 on The Billboard 200 chart.

"Deth Red Sabaoth" was released on June 22, 2010 via Evilive/The End Records. Produced by Glenn, the CD was recorded in Los Angeles over the course of 2009. (via metalrage)
