Becky Atchley Joins Lunchbox For Some Locals Only Fun!

Born and raised in the great state of Wyoming- Miss Atchley was brought up and inspired by every form of music possible. Obtaining her grit from her adolescent years in the punk scene and her lilt from her love of theatrical and celtic music , she set out for a career in film scoring. Soon after moving to Portland,Oregon in 2003 Becky discovered her connection with singing her own music. Beckys voice has been described as " A mixture of haunting lilts and kick ass Growls" which combine seamlessly with the simple piano melodies and emotionally driven compositions.
With three previous albums under her belt, her newly anticipated effort, "Running With Ghosts", slated for release in late fall 2011, will be the most vast creation of her curious mind yet. "After years of the ups and downs, losing so many that I loved, and having to constantly rediscover and reinvent myself- after numerous attempts to run into a different life, I have finally found my home in my music. It is too easy to assume that the only things to write about are what go "nicely" with the melody or what would be easy to sell. Life has challenged me, so why run from the greatest challenge that truly fuels me? This album is everything to me..because its everywhere I have been, everything I have attempted to be, and everything Im finally ready to say." says Atchley. Becky will be focusing on promoting the album in the UK this upcoming fall and will be planning a 2012 tour as soon as she recovers from the vast amount of Bangers and Mash she intends to eat while overseas.
