The notes say that three outbuildings and one residence have been destroyed. Albany County Sheriff Dave O’Malley has confirmed that a wildfire that is believed to have started in the Squirrel Creek drainage on Saturday has reached a burn area of 7000 acres and has consumed some structures.
Wildfire Causes Evacuation Near Woods Landing
A wildfire Southwest of Laramie has caused the evacuation of residents along Fox Creek road near the community of Woods Landing. The fire is said to be over 2,000 acres and is growing rapidly.

Governor Asks for Drought Disaster Declaration
Governor Matt Mead is asking for an agricultural disaster to be declared for most of the state, due to drought conditions.
