Wyoming Will Need Truckers

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The U.S. Department of Transportation expects trucking jobs in Wyoming to increase by 24 percent by 2022.

The agency released a report projecting a large growth in the countries transportation sector in the coming years. Wyoming in particular is pegged to be a major trucking industry area.

The report comes as trucking companies say they are facing a shortage of drivers in the state. Industry representatives say there is much work to be done to prepare younger workers for the growing industry.
